Apprenticeships

I am interested in Media apprenticeships and I have been looking for these on the following site:-

https://uk.indeed.com/viewjob?from=socialmediatagsbigj&jk=3990f68927f71c0b

I am particularly interested in this apprenticeship because this is the field of work that I am predominantly mostly interested in.

I am interested in the creative side of this apprenticeship whereby I would develop and create written and audio visual content that can be used across a variety of platforms and media. As a  content creator you work to a brief and you have to research, prepare and develop the messaging to maximise audience engagement. This helps to capture the strategy and objectives of the brand and needs of the customer, client or business. Once created the content can be use as part of media, advertising, documenting and marketing campaigns.

I am  I believe that I have the skills required for the post which are that I:-

  • Can work independently/part of a team when needed
  • Able to think logically and problem solve
  • Have good Communication skills - Written / Verbal
  • Interested in ICT in general

I also have the personal qualities needed for the post which are that I am:-

  • Friendly
  • Approachable
  • Easy to talk to
  • Adaptable
  • Flexible
  • Motivated

I also am working towards the following qualifications required for the post:-

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade 4/C+
We are able to accept Functional Skills L2 also.
I also have Creative Media Practice level 2 Distinction in ~Technical skills and also a Grade 5 in Creative I Media GCSE which are also I believe beneficial qualifications for this apprenticeship.

I am also interested in applying for full time posts in Media type vacancies and I have an example of the typical job that is vacant as advertised below.

Property Video & Media Specialist - Filmworx

This job is in Newcastle upon Tyne which is local to me. The  salary is competitive at £20,000 - £53,000 a year - Full-time.

In this job I am particularly interested in the Videographers and photographers side of the job. This job would involve Photography, Videography, creating Matterport Tours, or shooting Aerial Film and Photographs. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in a similar role,  experience in taking photos, creating videos and I would be able to satisfy this criteria as I have a lot of experience as I own my own camera/video and could demonstrate my talent with relevant examples of work.   I can also use the following -
  • 4K Mirrorless camera
  • Lenses to include ultra-wide angle (approx 15mm - 16mm full frame equivalent essential)
  • Handheld electronic 3 axis gimbal – Ronin, Zhiyun Crane, Moza etc
  • Drone, ideally Mavic 3, Mini 3 Pro and or DJI Avata
  • Adobe products to include Premiere Pro

I have  a ‘can-do’ attitude, along with bags of energy and a strong ability to build rapport with members of the public.

I am currently learning to drive and should have a full driving licence very soon.
