My Inspirations

 Edger Wright

My biggest and most moving inspirations is the writer/director edger wright. Edger Wright is a British writer and director that got his start in the industry creating with Simon Pegg a tv show called spaced which was well reserved and gained a small but dedicated fanbase which allowed him to create shortly after spaced the cult classic Shaun of the dead. That film was a huge success that allowed him to create 2 spiritual successors to Shaun of the dead which was the films hot fuzz and the worlds end which was deemed the cornetto trilogy as they all involve cornetto's in one way or another and they all star the actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as the leading roles in all films.

After the massive success of the cornetto trilogy edger wright began to create his first ever American film which was the incredibly thrilling and fun film Baby Driver which was a fast and energetic bank heist film from the perspective of the getaway driver. Baby Driver was a massive and I mean massive success that was nominated for countless awards and won many awards for editing and technical achievement.

After this Edger W right began to combine everything he knew from large blockbuster films in America and his original lower budget films in Britain to create his latest film Last night in Soho which is a horror thriller film with the idea of a girl seeing into the past and witnessing a murder and solving it in modern day.

Aaron Sorkin

Aaron Sorkin is a American playwriter and writer of many screenplays that are used in films and TV shows such as The Social Network, Mollys Game, The Newroom and the x files. Aaron Sorkin as a very specific way of writing scripts he is very quick and witty when it comes to writing. He is described in the past that when he was younger he ring dialogue was like music to him. He was wrote many iconic lines over his career and created along with many directors and actors incredible scenes of very witty dialogue and heart wrenching callbacks in his films.

David Fincher

David Fincher is a American film director wildly know for creating Oscar worthy films such as zodiac, The Social Network, Seven and made critically acclaimed show called Mindhunters. David Fincher is a very talented director who has perfected pacing and the ability to have a relaxing look to his films through the colour grading and cinematography and perfected acting through him making the actors in the scenes he shoots repeat over and over and over again till everything is perfect.

Luca Guadagnino

Luca Guadagnino is a Italian film director who created such acclaimed films as call me by your name and Bones and all. Guadagnino it’s a very specific kind of director as he does not make films that are very flashy in presentation when it comes to cinematography or sound but his strength comes from being able to represent the feel of a film. For example in call me by your name he uses a very specific sound design and directors his actors to do very specific things such as touching the wall when walking down the stairs or before getting on a bike to ride it into town wiping it down first. This gave the film a very sensual feeling to it as we could basically picture anything that is happening in the film is something we could physically feel in our hands which is very appropriate as it is a film about love and falling in love during the summer. This gives The film and many of his other works A very specific feel That I haven’t seen much films that give off the same feeling that his work does. Luca Guadagnino refined this sensual style of his newest film bones and all, this took all of the sensual elements from his previous film call me by your name and put a dark twisted feel to it as the film is about cannibalism. This makes for a very uncomfortable film to watch but a very interesting one as we can picture what people taste like which makes the film even more disturbing.
